3 Reasons Why You Should Use A Personal Trainer with Ted Ryce

[smart_track_player url="" ]

Seeing as I’ve been a personal trainer in Miami beach for the past 13 years, I may be a bit biased. However, after reading my 3 reasons, you may want to rethink your attitude on Personal Training and it’s benefits.

1. Individualization

It’s hard to argue the benefit of one-on-one instruction over a group class regardless of what you are attempting to excel in. I’ve taken private tennis lessons, private Brazilian jiujitsu lessons, and had a personal tutor for calculus and chemistry and i can tell you from personal experience that there is no substitute for a good (and good being the key word here) instructor to personally teach you a skill. Learning how to exercise properly for your individual needs and goals is no different. No group class or magazine workout will ever come close to offering you a more tailored experience than a good personal trainer will.

I personally assess each of my client’s medical and exercise histories as well as their specific goals and design a program that is tailored to them. I even recommend my client’s get full blood work from their doctor so we can be aware of any physiological issues that may affect the training process. In addition, if a client shows up with an injury or feeling run down from stress, I alter the program to fit where they are at that particular moment. What group situation will ever do that for you?

2. Accountability

Having an appointment where you have to show up or suffer consequences (i.e. cancellation fee) can help many people who have trouble finding the motivation to get to the gym on their own. When I first started personal training, I believed that people wanted to train with me because I was such a great personal trainer who was on the cutting-edge of exercise information. While this is partially true (better be haha!), after interviewing many of my clients, I found that one of the biggest reasons they decided to train was that it was part of a set schedule and they would be accountable to me if they didn’t show up.

3. Save Time and Money

Yes, working with a personal trainer can save you time AND money. Let me explain…

There are countless books, magazines, DVD home workouts, exercise classes all trying to sell you the idea that listening to them will get you in the shape you want. Guess what? Over 90% of it is marketing nonsense designed to part you from your money. Good personal trainers have gone through trial and error with fitness information so you don’t waste your time and money on methods of exercise and diets that don’t work.

Personally, I’ve gone through all the trouble of critically analyzing exercise, nutrition and supplement information over the past two decades (I’ve been a fitness professional for over 13 years but I’ve been exercising and using supplements for around 20) and I bring you the best of the best of what’s out there.

Is this blog post marketing? Sure it is! The difference is that I’m marketing my expertise, passion for helping people and the fact that I spend a significant portion of my time and money learning from the best experts in the business. New information is always coming out. In fact, I just came back from 4 day seminar on exercise biomechanics so I can improve my client’s results.

That’s why Personal Training is so powerful compared to a group approach.
